Ms. Rinsha E. K
Ms.Rinsha is a licensed psychologist who has a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both India and Abu Dhabi. In India, after earning her master’s in 2010, she primarily worked with children, focusing on early intervention of neurodevelopmental disorders. Internship training from the Institute of Communicative and Cognitive Neuroscience (ICCONS) and IMHANS helped her gain a deep understanding of the field of neurodevelopmental disorders. Her expertise is further enhanced by her 2-year MPhil training in clinical psychology from NIMHANS, an institute of national importance, where she is involved in various projects that explore innovative therapeutic techniques. This diverse background allows her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with, fostering a supportive and effective therapeutic environment. After obtaining a clinical psychology practice license, she transitioned to private practice, where she primarily worked with referred psychiatric cases. Later, she shifted to a multispecialty hospital where she worked as a clinical psychologist in the psychiatry department for over two years. Then she joined a semi-government project led by the social justice department and the University of Calicut as Disability Management Officer cum clinical psychologist. As part of the project, she was involved in community mental health, training postgraduate psychology students, and managing two rural community mental health clinics focusing on identification and early intervention of neurodevelopmental disorders. After relocating to the UAE, she worked in various medical centers, including the British Neurology and Psychiatry Center & Kids Heart Medical Center in Abu Dhabi. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also volunteered and worked on tele-mental health platforms.
